Scientists complete underwater bioscan of the iconic Twelve Apostles – video

An underwater bioscan was undertaken as joint project between Museum Victoria, Parks Victoria and Deakin University. Teams of divers completed more than 20 dives and teams from Deakin University lowered baited cameras in order to record and monitor the health and extent of marine life within the Twelve Apostles Marine National park and The Arches Marine Sanctuary. The report from the Twelve Apostles Bioscan (also know as the Port Campbell Bioscan) will be published later in the year.

This book was the first one we felt was really helpful: written by a boy, with autism, from the inside, explaining what it’s like, and why kids with autism do what they do, and by extension, why our son was exhibiting the behaviors he was exhibiting.¬†Without getting too mushy on you, it felt like our son talking to us for the first time.
